“This is the first in a series of illustrations for food articles I have done for the Wall Street Journal. The illustration had to show a family preparing exotic, delicious dishes as opposed to the simple, boring breakfasts we might eat quickly before going to school or work. The dishes had to look appetizing, and the scene had to provoke the desire to prepare and eat more elaborate dishes. With this illustration, I discovered that I love drawing food!”
