In October 2010, Herman Miller reissued The Nelson Basic Cabinet Series. The cabinets, originally designed by George Nelson in 1946, were created as a flexible and modular storage system fit for multiple rooms and environments. To drive home the original concept, Michigan’s Tandem Design used modular typefaces and design elements throughout the campaign as well as a vintage illustration style, reminiscent of mid-century Herman Miller print materials. The campaign included a silk-screened poster series, an informational brochure with a modular card format, and a promotional video all housed inside a retailer marketing kits.
